Where the island
opens to the sea.

Kanaha has a way of making an ordinary afternoon feel wide open.

Green shoreline, long stretches of sand, and that familiar line of kites out over the water. I’ve spent a lot of time here—riding, watching the light change, and keeping a camera close.

04 A little about me

Many years.
Plenty of wind.

I’m Reinhard—windsurfer, kiteboarder, and photographer. Maui became home after I came here to compete, and I’ve been following the wind ever since.

My time on the water stretches from windsurf speed sailing and equipment development to the early days of kiteboarding. These days, Kanaha is still where I ride, make pictures, and share what I’ve learned.
